Cartiera Confalone
Producing high-quality tissue paper for over a century
Cartiera Confalone boasts a long-standing tradition in high-quality paper manufacturing.
Its history dates back to the 1800s in Maiori, where a paper mill was founded for the production of handmade paper. These were the years when, along the Amalfi Coast — particularly in the Valley of the Mills and along the Canneto stream — the fine paper industry flourished, an art that had developed in Italy since the era of the Maritime Republics thanks to trade relations with the East.
Over the years, the evolution of Cartiera Confalone has gone through the production of laid and creped paper, eventually converting to tissue paper production in the 1960s.
Today, Cartiera Confalone is still managed by the same family, carrying forward the tradition while keeping pace with the times through the acquisition of technologically advanced machinery. This ensures the highest value of the finished product and meets the needs of both clients and consumers.
The product range of Cartiera Confalone consists of high-quality products designed for both the consumer and professional markets. They are made using carefully selected raw materials — only premium virgin cellulose fibers — and with the best available technology employed in paper production and in the conversion of jumbo rolls into finished goods. Cartiera Confalone products are distributed in Italy, across Europe, and throughout the Mediterranean area.
